About User Roles

You can access different reports and features depending on your user role.

From the Dashboard Generator, users can view the Dashboard, the Performance on Tests report, and deeper-level reports. The only exception is state-level users. All users, except at the state level, can view the Student Performance on Test report. All users, except at the state level, can generate Individual Student Reports (ISR) and student data files.

Teachers have a special My Students table at the bottom of the Performance on Tests report page, and they can access the My Students' Performance on Test report.
School-level users can access the School Performance on Test report.
District-level users can access the District Performance on Test report and the School Performance on Test report.
State-level users can view only the state Dashboard unless they access the system as district-level users. For more information on state-level features, refer to Appendix C.

Any user with scoring permissions may also enter or modify scores for unscored items and certain machine-scored items. If a user has scoring permissions but not report viewing permissions, that user can enter item scores for the test opportunities assigned to them, but they cannot view the reports for those opportunities.

Centralized Reporting only displays data for one institution and user at a time. If you have multiple user roles or you are associated with multiple institutions, you must change your user role and/or institution in Centralized Reporting in order to access reports for each role and institution.
